From Confusion to Clarity: 6 Simple Strategies to Make Lessons Meaningful, Memorable & Filled With Joy
What do you do when a student is just not getting it? They’ve read the lesson and looked at the material more than once. You’ve tried to explain it in your own words and you’ve repeated yourself multiple times. And, yet, they are still confused and now both of you are getting frustrated! What’s a homeschool parent to do?!?!
You need to find a way to teach it that is meaningful and memorable! Come learn six strategies of how to do just that. Nicole will share some simple, yet dynamic strategies that will not only bring clarity to your student, but also bring joy to the learning process.
ABOUT NICOLE THOMAS
Ask a homeschool parent to make a list of their biggest worries about educating their own children, and “teaching math” will very often appear close to the top. In response to this concern, Nicole Thomas started recording videos to teach tough math concepts in clear and concise ways. 4,000 videos later, Nicole the Math Lady now teaches tens of thousands of students each day while also creating a game-changing environment for the entire family. Nicole holds Bachelors’ Degrees in Economics and Psychology from Stanford University, resides in Florida with her family and homeschools her teenage son.
Before becoming Nicole the Math Lady, she taught adults as a Corporate Trainer for Fortune 500 companies. But her true passion has always been teaching kids, especially math. Nicole has a knack for creating fun, engaging, and sometimes whacky strategies to make math stick. Whether it’s a memorable mnemonic device, a crazy song, or a funky new made-up word, children are never bored with her teaching style…And she’d love to share her tips and tricks with you!
